Our Story
Mark and Adrienne first met over late-night tacos at a friend's birthday celebration. Over the next few months, Mark learned all of Adrienne's favorite songs on his guitar (yes, that works), and Adrienne kept asking Mark to come over and fix her bike (which broke suspiciously often). At the time, they were both interns in Silicon Valley. They now both live in Berkeley, where they are semi-respectfully employed as PhD students at UC Berkeley. They like to spend time outdoors whenever they can get away from their desks. Together they've backpacked in Death Valley, hiked in the rainforest in Costa Rica, and drunk beer in Germany.

Adrienne Porter Felt
Adrienne is the daughter of Sandra Valdez Felt and the late Edward Porter Felt. She has a younger sister named Kathryn. Adrienne grew up in New Jersey and attended college at the University of Virginia. She likes to run, cook, and eat, in reverse order of preference. Adrienne is also learning how to play cello. Her paternal family lives in upstate New York, and her maternal family lives in New Jersey and Costa Rica. (And in case you're curious, Adrienne isn't planning on changing her name.) |

Mark Joseph Murphy
Mark is the son of Theresa and Kenneth Murphy. He has three brothers: Jason, Michael, and Paul. Mark grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, and attended college at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He likes cycling, astronomy, and backpacking. Mark also likes to play guitar and bass. His parents' families are originally from Kansas, and his parents now live in St. Louis. (Mark decided against changing his name to Superman because the State of California won't let him.)

Punky
Punky is a very cute dog who likes to sit on laps and lean against legs. Unfortunately, she cannot attend the wedding; the last time we went to the beach in Carmel, she tried to run into the ocean. She is very patient and lets Mark and Adrienne (OK, mostly Adrienne) put her in bandanas, Halloween costumes, and sweaters. (Punky will answer to any name if you're holding cheese, including "Punksteroni" and "Stinkhead".) |
